Troubleshooting Posts That Didn't Publish

Your calendar says "posted" but it's not on your Instagram or Facebook? Here's what to check, and when to reach out.

You scheduled the post, your calendar says it went out, and then you check Instagram and... nothing. We know how frustrating that is. This is a technical issue, and you don't have to figure it out on your own. If anything below doesn't solve it, reach out to us and we'll take it from there.

Why this happens

When a post shows as "posted" but never appears, it usually means Instagram or Facebook (Meta) turned the post away without letting us know. The most common reasons are:

  • Your account connection has expired and needs to be refreshed.

  • The photo or video is in a format Instagram doesn't accept, such as an unsupported video type or size.

  • Meta is having a temporary outage on their end.

What to check first

  1. Go to Account Settings, then Connected Accounts, and look for a reconnect prompt. If you see one, reconnect and try posting again.

  2. Check whether the post went out on one platform but not the other. If Facebook worked and Instagram didn't, the photo or video itself is often the cause.

  3. If you're posting a video or a carousel, try a different file or upload the photos one at a time, then check the order in the preview before you schedule.

When to reach out

If your connection looks fine and the post still didn't publish, please contact us. Email [email protected] or send us a message through the chat on your Dashboard. Include:

  • The date and time the post was scheduled for

  • Which platform it didn't post to (Instagram, Facebook or LinkedIn)

  • Any error message you saw, word for word

Those details help our team track down the problem much faster. We're here to help!
