If your Instagram or Facebook account suddenly shows as disconnected, don't worry. You didn't do anything wrong. Connection issues are technical, and our team is always happy to help, so if the steps below don't work, reach out and we'll sort it out with you.

Why accounts disconnect

Meta, the company behind Instagram and Facebook, regularly asks connected apps like SocialJet to log in again. When that happens, your account can show as disconnected even though nothing changed on your end.

How to reconnect

  1. Go to Account Settings, then Connected Accounts.

  2. Click Reconnect next to Instagram or Facebook.

  3. Log in with Meta and approve the permissions.

That's it! You're ready to schedule again.

If you see "Feature Unavailable" or "this app isn't supported"

  1. Clear your browser cache and cookies.

  2. Open an incognito or private browser window.

  3. Log into SocialJet and try reconnecting again.

Check your Instagram account type

This is the most common reason Instagram won't connect. To post from SocialJet, your Instagram needs to be:

  • A Professional account (Business), not a personal account

  • Linked to a Facebook Page, not just your personal Facebook profile

You can switch to a Professional account in the Instagram app under Settings. Our article on the difference between Instagram Personal, Creator and Business accounts walks you through it.

Still not connecting?
